There was an supposed Spanish naval ship following them ‘closely’ . Ok, that ship was anyway sailing to Spain(but had to slow go to companion the catamaran).
the catamaran celebrity crew could have hiked with any faster going ship that anyway was heading to their destination. However they have had an cool adventure to remember and tell to their grandchildren while out at their summer holiday estate enjoying the green and beautiful Swedish nature.

I would like to point out another adventurous sailing Scandinavian who did it even more green, Tor Heyerdahl- https://www.britannica.com/biography/Thor-Heyerdahl Then before him there where of course the Vikings, the guys that ‘discovered’ America
