one of my good friends studied this and it is very interesting..

the European master builder tradition is sort of like feng shui -- but it uses the solar grid which is specific to the latitude and also the energy within the earth)

Interesting, the advantage of many of the ancient sites is the builders could pick the site specifically to suit the purpose.
With building land increasingly scarce it'll make it hard to find suitable spots I guess - one advantage of being off grid out in the sticks somewhere.
As a carpenter I have an ambition to build a home from scratch some time in the future, it'll probably be for one of my grown up kids tho
