And look, I don't propose to know what the hell is going on here. I'm just an independent thinker who questions things when they look shady or don't jibe. I think there is enough posted here to have legitimate questions that deserve legitimate answers. That's all.

I'm not against anyone and feel like everyone deserves the right to speak and be heard provided they are not advocating murder, rape, pedophilia etc. Some things should just be off limits from a moral perspective. I can remember many years ago when the powers (politicians etc) tried to shut down a musician by the name of Ozzy Osbourne because some unfortunate mentally ill young man, in Nevada I believe it was, who became infatuated with a song of Osbourne's called Suicide Solution and killed himself. These powers wanted the musician Ozzy Osbourne cancelled. I didn't think that was the right thing to do and I don't think it's the right thing to do now with various doctors, scientists and news outlets who don't agree with the covid narrative and get labeled "conspiracy theorists" etc. When someone tells me another doesn't have a right to speak, be heard, be read, I like to hear what that person has to say. We all have a right to speak and question things, no matter what they are.

Take care and God Bless.

*The typical far left response below by oi is a perfect example of why intelligent discussion and debate has gone by the wayside. You can show these types of people all the contradictions in the world being done by the CDC-Fauci-Govt/Pentagon/Medicare reports etc in their very own words. And all you will get back is baseless insults of "you're lying, you're a victim of propaganda" and of course the obligatory "lol" showing their own insecurities. I don't know if it's the ostrich syndrome or simply not being able to deal with the possibility of being wrong due to a fragile ego, a lack of self-esteem, or possibly a weak psychological constitution.*

It is interesting.
The insistence that vaccination is the only way to contain the virus.

Taiwan’s health authorities say that as of Monday, deaths after vaccination reached 865. While deaths from the virus are 845.

https://news.ntd.com/more-die-after-vac ... 88004.html

There’s also been a number of cases in the US not reported in main stream news concerning bad reactions to vaccines.

I do not understand why you think that you benefit from denying that there is a pandemic. I also do not understand why you trust the information from the sources that you link to. If you really want to understand, then perhaps you should seek to understand (1) the difference between using PCR to detect the presence of the virus, and PCR to sequence a specific virus, and (2) the way that vaccines work and their efficacy at different time points [note: “not fully vaccinated” ≠ “unvaccinated”].

I thought it pretty funny that CNN and NY Times were referred to as "far left". Certainly from my perspective as a European. Working on the principle that there's a difference between 'far left' and simply 'left wing' and between 'left wing' and 'centrist', I wonder which media organs could then be described as centrist on this scale, before one even moves into the category of 'right wing'?

Just another dumbass, er, I mean "independent thinker." How come all these independent thinkers get their ideas from the same places? Oh, because they are not independent or thinkers.

It cracks me up that the media presents anything in the United States as left. From an international perspective centrism at the leftwardmost end of the American media's spectrum and actual left stuff is only to be whispered about - don't you know those Commies are dangerous?

Apparently according to CDC statistics fully vaccinated, according to the CDC this means two weeks after all shots, the fully vaccinated are showing 20,000 hospitalizations and 5,000 deaths. This doesn't include the medicare documented 45,000 deaths, within two weeks of receiving the shot, of over 69 years of age provided on the renz-law.com website.

https://www.infowars.com/posts/exclusiv ... bombshell/

And I understand how the far left despises and likes to silence infowars. But this is where I found this evidence which is also available on the CDC website. So attempting to discredit infowars doesn't fly here when the statistics are on the CDC website as shown in the video.

It is more questioning if this really is a true pandemic as is defined historically. Percentage wise the mortality rate of covid would be considered on the smaller size when compared to previous pandemics.

Medical Definition of Pandemic - MedicineNet
[Search domain medicinenet.com] https://www.medicinenet.com › pandemic › definition.htm
Pandemic: An epidemic (a sudden outbreak) that becomes very widespread and affects a whole region, a continent, or the world due to a susceptible population. By definition, a true pandemic causes a high degree of mortality (death)

Our definitions of independent thinking may be different. That is fine as we are all welcome to our own opinions, yes?

My definition of independent thinking as applied to covid would be to research as many different sources, countries and more importantly accurate statistics. Then based on this research come to my own conclusion.

Other people may prefer to think of their own independent thinking as listening to what appears to me to be an ego gone wild in Dr Fauci who claimed "I am science". If that is your preference to follow a man who claims to be science, I wish you well with that.

And here is a different opinion on Dr Fauci based largely on both history and statistics. You will probably need to independently think your way thru this as well. Good luck.

You are the one who claimed to be an independent thinker, not me. I was just pointing out the obvious fact that none of what you have said came to you independently.

As for you being entitled to your opinions, sure. Why do you need to ask that? And, if you believe that, why on earth would you act like you have such a problem with someone challenging your opinions with their own? Doesn't track. But, not much of what you have written does.

I'm not a fan of Faucci, and called out his BS (and Gupta's) on masks as well as his silence under Trump. I am also highly critical of the handling of the pandemic by both US political parties, although there are important differences and one has been far better than the other.

None of that means that I ignore peer-reviewed rigorous studies or the fact that over one in 500 Americans have died from Covid--likely far more. For you to come in here and try and resurrect completely BS right-wing narratives given all that has already been written means that you either haven't read the thread; can't properly digest information; or, are just so far gone you're beyond hope. Perhaps it's some mix of all three.
