Good home cardio/strength system?

Postby aiasthewall on Thu Mar 26, 2020 3:19 pm

We are shelter in place so I can't do bjj. Any good recommendations for programs that have both cardio and strength building? No equipment. There's a lots of noise out there.

Thanks!

You can use a stool to do step work. Try this. You don't need his equipment.

Up your daily dosage of single-source Arabica . . . not decaf. That should stimulate the cardio realm . . . ;D

Ginastica Natural (which you're probably already familiar with) is a rich resource for bodyweight movement exercises. Here is a sequence:

Remembering that Alvarez ripped off the name and principals from its originator Cani, Alvarez's approach is still useful and more detailed with respect to BJJ and flow. You can get ideas for exercise from his YouTube channel.

Tom Merrick has some good stuff:

Ted Naiman is a physician who has some interesting ideas about short simple exercise sets working to failure:

The StrengthSide channel has some good material:

I've found Steve Maxwell's ideas to be really useful:

lol, that's really not a bad plan.

if you could use equipment, how about kb swings and turkish getups? would be silent. if you don't have a kettlebell, you can devise some kind of substitute.
