Yes...I realize now I non consciously might have been showing off an slight casual and non concerned mindset in these hard times, I have just kept on with my usual jargon that was not meant as being harmful but yes a little teasing.
I can now somewhat understand that many in the US and Europe are by now feeling quite stressed up and frustrated with weeks of invisible viruses lurking around you and now also very visible rioting and even more numerous peaceful protests in the streets....i should of course have been more sensitive with my thoughts here. These are times much needed for cmpassion, comfort and understanding....you are right there is no room for nonsense.

My pathetic excuse if I should is that here at my place it is virus free and peaceful in the streets, so yes I can’t really imagine and put myself in the situation and the hardships the rest of the world are going thru right now.however I will try.

What’s happening in the US happens every four years very similar to.

The history around this is very interesting.

In the US the difference this time is that people have ceded their rights to local governments in the name of safety due
To the virus. In many cases the local politicians have their own agendas.

People I come in contact with or teach that have come from communist or police states all mention the same things to me.
They are here now because what is happening now happened there.

In the US in Seattle for example some areas have been taking over.
Guess what is one of the first things they do.

Control those that are within their area, removing any dissenting voices or thought.

Frankly, the US is not the world's worst police state because:

Milley’s statement risked the wrath of a president sensitive to anything hinting of criticism of events he has staged. Pentagon leaders’ relations with the White House already were extraordinarily tense after a disagreement last week over Trump’s threat to use federal troops to quell civil unrest triggered by George Floyd’s death in police custody.

That wouldn't happen in a real police state. He knows he might be dismissed, but he said it anyway.

So I read about statues being taken down and vandalized, I can somehow understand the stance against some of those symbols. But -Christopher Columbus??, and in Britain- Winston Churchill ?....
