Consider a general public warning a stated rule for moderation going forward. So, to reiterate for this thread, the public warning you excerpted from the "Good Luck" thread reads as follows:

This thread is turning needlessly nasty with gratuitous slander thrown both left and right and is therefore being locked. Future discussion threads on the 2020 election will be monitored and locked if they turn foul like this one. Forum members showing a pattern of continuing irascibility and diatribe across election-related threads will be warned and if necessary in the judgement of the moderators will be banned. We don't care if you don't like the moderation or consider acts of moderation to be censorship. Be polite and civil with each other and when commenting about third parties or go find another forum to fling your verbal gibbon-shit around. Thank you.

If you don't like or disagree with the rule or the perceived consistency of application by moderators, then please find another forum. It's that simple. There are lots of alternatives to hanging out dissatisfied on RSF. Try Facebook, or Reddit, or Quora, for starters.
