Paul has been training in boxing for a few years now.
I think it is a good example of what a competent, but certainly not a pro level, boxer can pull off against someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Learning how to punch, and deliver power, takes awhile for most people and Paul has definitely put some time in.
Also, and I think this gets under emphasized, men gain resistance to being hit by getting hit. Sure, it may not qualify as "iron body" training by anyone here, but the stress-adaptation cycle certainly applies to blunt force trauma.
Finally, Paul is a good 13 years younger than Robinson and I'm sure that was a factor too.
