Huge sigh of relief in that respect. And Biden's initial impetus on the environment and climate change, for instance, seems to indicate that he's more than just pretty words in the election campaign. (I won't talk about other domestic policies, I'm too far away for that).
But although Trump is gone from office, he still appears to be the de facto head of the Republican Party. Most, although not all, of the other Republican leaders remain scared of his ability to direct a large part of the Republican voting base. So they're still doing their best to stay in his good books, cosying up to him again. None of them have the courage to kick him out of the party. And "Trumpism" is very much alive, so this saga ain't over yet.
Do not make the mistake of giving up the near in order to seek the far.
