In ne-waza /BJJ (ground technique) application of knee against neck has the same effect and the pretense is so lame that Chauvin will get less punishment than he deserves.
The only time this will change is when sons of the 5% is in a similar situation and the same restraints are applied, will the laws change that allows for prosecution of that type of response on the part of those (the few) who committ these offenses and get away with it.

The latest witness was a pulmonary and crisis expert. He was counting Floyd's breaths and timing things.
So this is how it happened.
Floyd took his last breath. About 45 seconds later the cops tried to take his pulse and failed. Two minutes and forty-four seconds later they actually let off the pressure. That's a total of three minutes and twenty seven seconds AFTER he stopped breathing that those three cops laid on him with their full body weight, even AFTER he's gone limp, stopped breathing, and has no pulse.
It's gonna be a wild summer if he isn't convicted.
