I really encourage friends to study Shurangama Sutra before Avatamsaka Sutra.
It’s really the foundation. ☺️
The other thing is in theory we may understand, but we still needs do to verify it. 「理則頓悟，乘悟併銷；事非頓除，「因次第盡」。 」
