Kaku suggests we don't advertise ourselves because aliens might be like us. Even if not evil, they might just not care about us. He also says the universe is full of resources. Hmmm, so why would they come here for anything. Imo, it's more likely that they'd already know how to find what they were looking for, and it wouldn't be beings like us. Iow, they'll be able to predict and find what they need.
What do you think about the prediction that they'd have to come from someplace with land --because you can't have technology without fire -though there's plenty of volcanic fire under the sea. It's just that, sea creatures often have flippers or claws instead of fingers --with opposable thumbs. Oh well, maybe that's just the way the evolution cookie crumbles. Somewhere in the universe, this could be true. Alas, if we meet them before they meet us, it'll be worse for them if we need water.
