Nice draw....very smooth

looks well practice. :)

For those who may not know.

Holsters come in 4 levels, requiring different actions to draw the weapon.

Level One retention holster: a Level One holster has only passive retention; the friction and "hold" of the holster is all that keeps the pistol in it.
Most concealed carry holsters are level one holsters.

Level Two retention holster: a Level Two holster has an active retention device in addition to the passive retention of the holster itself, making for two sources of retention. Commonly, a thumb break, hammer loop or trigger guard lock is the device in question.
These are very popular for open carry or law enforcement.

Level Three retention holster: a Level Three holster has an additional retention device installed.
A common design is thumb break or loop in addition to a trigger guard lock.

Level Four retention holster: a Level Four holster has three retention devices in addition to passive retention for a total of four retention mechanisms.

Don’t know anything about the technical topic, but

wonder what he says when he puts his hand to push the robbers gun down

Then what does he say when pointing the gun with apparently more strong intent

In any case luckily it was apparently all a show of force and ability so nothing really bad had to happen

Also one guy in bad enough straits to try a robbery

One guy seemingly willing to take high risk for low pay

Think at this point I’d change jobs to Starbucks.

Wow

You got all that from watching the video.
I like to think people have agency in their lives.
Some make bad choices leading to bad outcomes.

Like armed robbery.
The guy working might be the manager, unable to find
others wanting a job.

The armed robber, that might be his day gig.

Never know

What I do know, is that when someone is pointing a weapon at another person. If their intent is not to really use it they may find themselves shot , should the other person have a weapon.

I think it’s like 18 or 20 feet, that a person has time to draw aim and fire a weapon at somebody advancing towards them with a knife before the person with a knife can reach person with a weapon.

Yep, intention.

Starbucks

In an email, Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino said officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Starbucks, located at 56 Westport Avenue, around 5 p.m. on Oct. 30. Gulino said the man pointed a black handgun at employees and demanded access to a safe. He then took money from both the safe and a tip jar, then fled the coffee shop.

Yes I somewhat assume

One makes a choice to pull the gun

That person thinks at least for a moment it’s his best choice.

Doesn’t matter if your me the owner or the would be robber.

Starbucks is an example but I’m sure there are stats on which places are robbed more, what time of day, etc

So those assumptions make sense yes.
