In a way it makes sense. All "diseases" have an inflammatory phase but depending on the individual physiologybiology, they develop that end stage diagnosis that separates into x disease.
The Western model is to treat everyone with the same "hammer" while the CCM/TCM model is to recognize that each individual has their own set of 'expressive signs and symptoms" that determines the best method despite the same diagnoses.
My brother-in-law was diagnosed with MS despite there being no one known to have it in family but he did go to see a specialist and becuae the family (male) worked on the coal mines of West Virginia, there was some type of inflammatory process that did not express at that time but when the body became weak from some other "unknown assault", the gene expressed itself. The father was diagnosed at sarcoidosis around the same time!
I used to see and talk with my teacher (Herbal medicine/CCM/TCM doctor) and I would ask how despite the many people having the same diagnoses, they would all be treated with differeng combination of herbal medicine(s) and acupuncture so he referred to the works of Giovanni Macciocia (he died a few years ago)!
