do you have a cool space you use for your neigong or neijia? inside your apartment or house? at a park at 5 a.m. with lots of old people doing tai chi? is it like a Zen rock garden sort of "meditative space"? your crowded living room with the television there (pretty much my case)?

A private temple with full altar.

It is a 12x20 prefabbed wood building.

No electricity or heat though.

In my personal experience, a meditative space can potentially be created wherever you practice with a quietly calm, mindfully aware mental state, whether indoors or outdoors.

In this way, you will eventually be able to practically apply whatever you practice, anywhere at anytime, without anxiety, hesitation, or fear.

this is essentially my living room (with television turned off and phone away). easier at night than in early a.m. for me. timing is probably part of it. no traffic noise etc.

but this sounds amazing! and closer to nature is better:

so it was prefabbed but you installed it? you have a large outdoor space for it? it sounds super awesome.

This is where the magic happens:

It's little messy right now with many projects nearing completion.

Visualization, intention and hours of qigong later, the emergence of..stuff:

Been on a rose making jag the past month or so

Trying to work out proportionality and petal arrangement takes a lot of doing nothing, with an empty mind, and then a lot of non-doing while going through the motions

Finished this gent's Bowie on Tuesday and gave it to my eldest son for no good reason

Excellent! That is exactly the point of my earlier post. Mental perspective greatly influences personal experience in all things. This appears to be true for everyone.

Thus, establishing a grounded, centered rhythm by practicing seated meditation in the same physical space, sitting on the same meditation cushion at the same times everyday, etc, can certainly be helpful.

However, ultimately, the accumulated results of observing and gradually modifying mental activity over time are of real value only when they can be incorporated into the practical everyday experience of life in all situations and circumstances with mindful awareness.

all very true.

nevertheless I like having, finding, or creating a nice practice space. messy living room is pretty good, I have to admit.

Wuxin/Mushin is where you find it without looking for it...kinda like that sasquatch we three saw while jeeping up an old logging road one dark, winter night

From spontaneous visualization during 10 or twenty minutes of seated meditation, and after some applied qigong and practical taiji/push-hands method, this emerged a couple of days ago:
