Tibetan, ayurvedic, Japanese five elements

I think these elements make more intuitive sense and are easier to remember than the xingyiquan and TCM elements with the creation and destruction cycles and so on.

For example,
  • earth - grounded, "down to earth", up/down power
  • water - back and forth like waves
  • fire - warm, passionate, angry, initiative, attack
  • wind - circular, "airy", "light"
  • void/ether/emptiness - spontaneous

I would say they're substantially the same with Wood and Air being correlated and Void and Metal together. Our breathable oxygen comes from plants AKA wood and Iron used to come from meteorites.
