On activity, exercise, socializing and evolution

Thought this was a pretty good sum up of differences between activity, exercise and how humans have evolved in those aspects:

"Common sense led us to believe that humans were programmed to be as physically active as they can and that the more exercise we do, the more calories we burn.

But from an evolutionary standpoint – these ideas are just myths. Dr Daniel Lieberman, author of 'Exercised', and Dr Herman Pontzer, author of 'Burn', explain why.

I also thought that the social aspects and the conclusion, that you need to make opportunities to exercise available for everyone, was interesting. But isn't that exactly what the Chinese already have done? People, young and old, practice different things together in the parks, and they all have training tools for elderly people. And look at Chinese martial arts, how they are practiced.

Feels like the Chinese are way ahead of the Western World when it comes to integrating exercise in everyday life, right?
Then watch this video about Chinese people exercising:

hips punching the wall/tree - my favorite ;)

on more serous note - my stepdaughter (15 y,o) doesn`t like to train anything more, than fingers on her phone, and she isn`t alone.
I read , that in Quin Sheba prophecy -"the yellow race will flood the world ",
anyway we are in kinda of twilight zone:
from one side growing commercialization of health life style ,
second - more and more peps exercising just their fingertips...
what we goin` to do, when google disappear ? -bolt-

was watching dan john say that nobody can make money by saying "drink more water, eat oatmeal and vegetables, get some daily exercise". we have to sell you supplements or programs or apps or whatnot, especially if your exercise is thumbs on phone. ugh. those old people in the park got it right.

Providing a little balance on how healthy the Chinese lifestyle is...

"China is the largest producer and consumer of tobacco in the world. There are more than 300 million smokers in China, nearly one-third of the world's total. More than half of adult men are current tobacco smokers. About one in every three cigarettes smoked in the world is smoked in China. In addition, over 700 million non-smokers in China, including about 180 million children, are exposed to second-hand smoke (SHS) at least once a day in a typical week. Exposure to SHS causes 100,000 deaths annually."
