It makes sense!
Democracy reserves and deserves the right by law, majority rule and priviledge to not provide health care to its citizens. This has not changed and it will get worse ???
When you prevent the citizenry from participating in this aspect of care, people are not treated, they fall by the wayside, etc and as a result are left out of medical care because they could not pay for that care or threre were laws preventing access of some kind based on said laws.

Even amongst "developed" nations, US care, though better, is still lacking and rated based on that omission of medical services.

@yeniseri This is not a pure 'democracy vs totalitarianism' case.

there have been less than 1000 deaths in the EU country which I live in due to a combination of lockdowns and vaccine mandates.

However, now we are reopened already from the COVID lockdowns and have freedom of movement and association, bars & restaurants are open etc., no mask mandates- Better than China

Alabama has a population of the same size, about 5 million. COVID deaths are at 20,000+ - 20x more than here
