Pit em against each other in the thunderdome, winner take all. it seems exploitative but we could make a fortune off the subscription fees, and then we could invest that back in their communities and induce local cartels and warlords to INVEST in these children and ensure they survive and thrive to compete.

Well, yes, a satirical mini-essay.

But we actually DO use trophy hunting to induce landowners to protect endangered species from poachers so they can cash in on the hunting fees.

The system brought white rhinos back from less than a hundred to thousands of individuals.

Poachers systematically slaughter thousands of animals a year, but this trophy hunting sets up breeding preserves and then individuals are selected from the population for harvest. Like they're too old, too aggressive, otherwise less than ideal. Kind of the same thing natural predators do, pick off the less desirables so the rest of the herd can thrive.

But we're human and as such, inherently more valuable than other animals or no? Many shamanic traditions would argue otherwise or add nuances. If you'd say no to my questions, you'd have to become vegan. Sooo, idk what's right or wrong, lol
