Jakob Ingebrigtsen 2000m World Record

After winning gold in the 5000m and a disappointing silver in the 1500m in Budapest for the Track & Field World Championships, Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen has broken the 24-year-old 2000m world record in Brussels. And he's only 22 years old.

He is an amazing athlete. He didn't even look tired. The 8000 record will be hard to beat since it's not even always run at events. I put my money on him to lower the time.

He looked calm when losing the 1500m in Budapest. So much so that I thought he didn't give it his all. Very different demeanor than his countryman, 400m hurdler Karsten Warholm. Both are amazing to watch.

Those Norwegians are something else.

Actually, the Scandinavians are kicking but in a few sports. Jonas Vingegaard won the Tour de France. Sweden is ranked #2 in women's soccer.

Another Norwegian, golfer Viktor Hovland, recently won the FedEx Cup and its $18 million bonus.
