As it needs to. No one wants to compromise ideals but to be a viable third party they need to realize it's too late for Utopian ideals.

Barr/Root 2008!

I don't have a feeling that Barr is a good/honest/sincere/trustworthy guy -- I think he's in it for fame/power.

Unlike Ron Paul.

I never vote for parties, only for people/for a person.

(YMMV of course.)

I highly doubt America will ever again see a Libertarian Government.
the two party system giving handjobs to the military industrial complex is too far entrenched now for any common sense to prevail in the Capital.

You gotta fall before you can get up and walk tall.

The people are too brainwashed to ever vote for anyone who is qualified to run this country, Our choices are crap, and polished crap with steam. Best option is to buy an Island and start over.

I agree Royal Dragon, - one of my indulgences is to daydream about a new planet with a goverment based on Libertarian Principals and Ideals, ...

... it would be named, - Goldwater.

I havn't really looked into Barr that much. I'll get around to it when voting time gets closer. What kind of changes is the LP making?

The LP nominated a non-idealist. The LP has, in past, been ruled by people who don't seem to care if even one candidate ever gets elected, only that he/she toes the idealist party line.

D, remember RP ran as a Republican this time (LP last time). Now there's a former Pub running as a LP. I see it as a way to one day take the Republican Party back from the friggin Neo-Cons.
