Using only standard I/O requests, a user gets his disk drive to play John Williams' "Imperial March" theme.

the Sun E10K fans could be used to play music, they actually incorporated this ability into their alerts, they would make a hi-pitch whine under certain fault conditions

Somewhere on the net, there's also a collection of dot-matrix printer orchestras playing various tunes. I leave their discovery as an exercise for the reader.
