dedicated to the discussion of the chinese internal martial arts of xingyiquan, baguazhang, taijiquan, related arts, and anything else best discussed over a bottle of rum
The following typical threads that plague martial arts sites will get moved here if not just deleted: 1 - My style is better than Your style" - 2 - "Internal & External" - 3 - Personal attacks - 4 - Threads that start well, but degenerate into a spiral of nonsense.
I wasn't referring to the meme, that's funny. I was referring to extraneous political dialog which the mods don' t seem to appreciate in this humor thread.
Hmm, I'm actually more inclined to agree with Bill's post on this one. We don't know if and to what degree someone else would have escalated bombing in these countries. But, one of the very few things I will say that Trump was probably better at than Clinton would have been is not starting any new wars. I was worried he might pull some shit at the end there, but he didn't. He's pretty much a nationalist isolationist focused on protectionism and self-enrichment.
Been watching that as I fall asleep at night. It's a pretty funny show that you don't have to get invested in.
US space endeavors have historically been under the aegis of the Airforce and not much has changed. I think there are about 2500 personnel doing things that were already being done. And, people on both sides of the aisle have been pushing for a space force since well before Trump.
While I'm quite critical of US military exploits, I do recognize that there is a dialectic that exists between Cold War funding and absolutely critical scientific research. We wouldn't have the Keeling Curve if not for the Cold War. Space exploration, climate science, and the Cold War are all bound up together. And, if we are going to be doing space exploration, it shouldn't only be left to billionaire lunatics who what to move to Mars after we have destroyed this planet.

Hey, the SF is part of the military. We already have NASA. We also have competing private industries. Space Force may serve a valid military role; and will probably grow; but, it is what it is. I just thought it was ironic to argue that this administration in a month and a half has bombed more than the previous administration has in four years, and almost impossible to be true. But, this is the joke thread, so I threw out the Space Force. Btw, I also thought that the Navy would be the branch it would come from. Space is, imo, more like the conditions at sea than in the atmosphere. Also, ships carry planes.
