The Russians are here, too. https://www.newsweek.com/russia-defends ... us-1380901
I wonder where they got the balls to do that.

Breitbart says that they're setting up a military base.

I was following that. Interesting how Trump was threatening Iran and they strengthened their ties to Russia and now Valenzuela. Some believe Trump wants a "feel good" war to win re-election but I don't think he will now. I have heard that the Russians bought many of those oil fields already if anything this whole debacle is further proof of why we need more green energy instead of more wars for oil. If Germany or Costa Rica can pull it off then so can the US also the Russian oligarchs would lose out.

President Donald Trump has warned that Russia must withdraw a recent military delegation sent to Venezuela, suggesting he would be prepared to force it out.

The White House cut ties with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in January, instead sponsoring opposition-controlled National Assembly head Juan Guaidó, who declared himself acting head of state. The move came amid mounting U.S. sanctions that have damaged a Venezuelan economy already beset by internal mismanagement, and about a month after Russia sent troops and aircraft to conduct bilateral exercises in the Caribbean.

Russian troops and planes were again seen in Venezuela over the weekend in order to conduct what Russia's state-run Sputnik News outlet cited a diplomatic source as calling "bilateral consultations."

Responding to this, Trump told reporters at the White House that "Russia has to get out." Asked how his administration could ensure this, he responded, "We'll see. All options are open."

Let's see. The only problem is that Russia supports Maduro, but ya never know.

I read something on Reuters site along the lines of Puting being willing to cease the war. That Russia is perfectly willing to end the war, IF negotiations were started. I haven't heard anything citing that particular article in German media.

It was said that 'since Russia is still moving troops in the field, it's obvious that that's a lie' in that article.

Obviously the war is still continuing, so why would Russia cease to make moves...

Isn't it just batshit insane that no one is willing to sit down at a table with Putin and negotiate?

As far as I know, NATO promised not to expand to Russia's borders or something like that. They failed to honor that agreement upto the point that Russia felt threatened and had no other choice.

Perhaps Russia doesn't want to Americanized. The west didn't pay Russia any respect as a sovereign nation with its own interests.

But I guess we'll just close both eyes when it come to Middle Eastern cultures and their atrocities, like child marriage.

I hope the world will learn from this conflict. We need to act in unison to overcome global challenges. If we can't communicate properly with one another - and there have been many successful attacks on that ability unfortunately - then everything is going to fall apart.

I don't want that. But we also have to respect everyone's right to their own lessons. Tricky tricky.
