this is where Squid Game becomes an interesting commentary.

are we all just playing a bunch of adult versions of squid games, with a winner takes all mentality? and we can all quit if the majority of us agree? or can we? can anyone stop the Squid Game? You can try to kill the others (the brown people or whomever you've scapegoated) since you think "they" are in your way and you want to win when in fact you're losing quite badly. You can try to team up at times. You can try to enact a cheat to win for a little while. Yet can anyone escape or stop it?????......... well, no spoilers, but ....... sure doesn't seem like it, does it

Afa Squid Games, it's the old guy who makes the decision to stay in the game. Hmmm.

Not necessarily left and right - new age and fascist tendencies instead.

Yes, there is definitely something to this. The pandemic really made it obvious.

I can only watch one show at a time due to time constraints, but we are planning on watching it very soon. Looking forward.

Ian C. Kuzushi wrote:In case you missed my post, there are many economists, historians, political scientists, and other scholars who point out that the 20th Century Communist states were not only not leftist, but that they weren't communist. They practiced state capitalism or a form of non-planned administrative command systems. I don't have a problem with anyone calling them communist states, as long as we agree on what that means. But, were they leftist? Nope. So, of course, peoples indoctrinated with far-right ideologies find it easy to take up other far-right ideologies.

Yes, you're right of course here. I was using 'communist' in the looser (or lazier ;) ) sense with regard to the 'horseshoe hypothesis'. Which indeed I wouldn't see as generally valid or 'automatic', but arguable in some cases.
Of course, that raises the question of whether a 'communist' state in the real sense could actually exist? Not yet as far as I understand and see, but maybe if and when technology and other developments enable a post-scarcity society. Let's hear it for Iain Banks' The Culture, yay!

Regarding a sensible and fair definition of 'leftist', I'll beat a circumspect retreat here. Very interesting topic, but would certainly require a new thread outside Crazy Covid Shit.

Dr. Reiner Fuellmich who has been leading the charge on exposing the true information surrounding COVID-19 recently hosted Dr. David Martin, a professional analyst who has shared some disturbing information. His evidence appears very compelling and credible, and I have fact checked some of the patents he has identified. It’s clear COVID-19 was never a novel (new) virus.

Watch this interview in full, hear the testimony of Dr. David Martin and the patents he’s analysed over the last many years. All publicly available going back to 1999 showing the Novel Coronavirus was well known for two decades.
He explains his credentials and provides many quotes about how this present outbreak was probably engineered.

But if it's always been around, how did they create it and release it from your Wuhan Lab?!

Anyway, I'm glad to see your sourcing is as good as ever!

PS, you may want to go back to basics as your dude here seems to be reinventing the wheel to make up some sort of conspiracy that doesn't exist:

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses, like the common cold. However, three new coronaviruses have emerged from animal reservoirs over the past two decades to cause serious and widespread illness and death.

There are hundreds of coronaviruses, most of which circulate among such animals as pigs, camels, bats and cats. Sometimes those viruses jump to humans—called a spillover event—and can cause disease. Four of the seven known coronaviruses that sicken people cause only mild to moderate disease. Three can cause more serious, even fatal, disease. SARS coronavirus (SARS-CoV) emerged in November 2002 and caused severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). That virus disappeared by 2004. Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) is caused by the MERS coronavirus (MERS-CoV). Transmitted from an animal reservoir in camels, MERS was identified in September 2012 and continues to cause sporadic and localized outbreaks. The third novel coronavirus to emerge in this century is called SARS-CoV-2. It causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which emerged from China in December 2019 and was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020.

And you might go back listen to what he’s saying.

view his presentation a series of anomalies,
that should be looked into and questioned.

Most definitely BTDT.
