He was a good all rounder.. but his wrestling was very high level for an MMA guy, particularly so because he didn't come from that background.

Oh, no problem George. I agree that rules (written, unwritten, and traditional) determine the trainng for competition, and some arts prepare practitioners better.

Yeah, in general, all multi-discipline athletes will be more adept at one --even if it's not their first (base) art. GSP can compete with high level wrestlers,submission wrestlers, boxers, and kickers. He doesn't have an obvious weakness in any area.
