the R34L Shaolin....

The following typical threads that plague martial arts sites will get moved here if not just deleted: 1 - My style is better than Your style" - 2 - "Internal & External" - 3 - Personal attacks - 4 - Threads that start well, but degenerate into a spiral of nonsense.

sorry I do not understand.... not bad you say?!?!

this is the only comp footage i found in a quick look. compare it with this Hung Gar bench form...

THEY are aweful! the system is a fraud, that simple. Sijo Z had 8 years KF training prior to forming his school, he also had BB's in Karate and Akido prior to this training. The KF he studied was Hung Fut. The form in the above clip was probably made up by the guy performing it. That is the way it works there you 'specialise' and 'develop' your own form for the system.... this in itself may not be to bad if the base knowledge was a little more.... umm... full.

anyway, please link one of the better videos for me to see.... please!

If the first guy really won 1st place with that form, it can only speak of the level of the competitions these guys participate. -puke-

Actually from what I gathered from the website this guy just happened to create the first kung fu organization in the area and likely sponsors and chooses the judges for the comps. Meaning his horrible students winning first place is no surprise.

I could not find where you found that Deus..... BUT....

in actual fact this club competes (or at least did) in the NAS (national All Styles) competition circuit. Most of the clubs that participate are karate clubs. This guys KF school is probably the only non- WC school to compete in this circuit. Hence the judges have no idea about KF forms and use these as the benchmark. This is what these forms are geared towards (well aside from the students 'creating' their own forms) So you are partially right. He has some of his guys in the NAS judging pool and probably has some influence over what is and is not kung fu within that organisation. When I was training there years ago my first indication that this was not KF was at a chinese tournament when some elements of the Chinese community where unhappy with aspects of his stuff (can't remember specifics).

One of the things I find quite funny is that one of his trainee instructors is a guy that I used to see on a weekly basis. He never mentioned that he did MA' though it was often a topic with the guys in the group. That was very funny I think. I wish he had of said something then as I could of at least warned him of what he was in.

Anyway I must thank Sijo Z for introducing me to MA training when I started.... he got me regular so to speak... I am equally thankful to the guys who beat the shit out of me and showed me that if you want to train in MA it is best to do it properly.

In their highlights there are many fighting comps, and they mostly kick ass.---> they are not bad in the worst MA schools ever!
I know that they are awsome and you guys don't understand what is internal. :P

It was a little bit of extrapolation based on his website information on my part. Glad to see I was somewhat right :)

the fact that his knee is clearly tracking out far over his toe demonstrates that this man knows nothing about correct stance or posture in general.
His mother should be beaten and his house burned down.
