very nice find.

Clip just keeps getting better as I watch too. Love how he shows how the striking is mixed in. That aspect is really rarely seen. Off the top of my head I can't think of another clip where I've seen it being shown.

This is cool, thanks for posting.

Great play. What with this cheerfully effective chap, and those CMC skinheads, it is clear that even Erle could not muddy Aussie's Taiji's waters completely.

A good example of the 'play' and 'fun' elements of taiji skill learning push hands that is so often missing nowadays.

IMO, this is a very rewarding way of practice PH.

i enjoyed that too. but i would not say that type of practice is rarely seen from my perspective. this is similar to the way i was taught push hands from day one.

Well I haven't seen any clips of anything like it. Nothing comes to mind at least.

I have seen the occasional mixing up of striking and so on but just playing by those rules does not make the method magically appear. I felt that he was mixing it up in a way that I personally find natural and also specific to Taijiquan methods. The slaps and punches and so on were not simply "shown" they had real heaviness to them and, on occasion, he even allowed them to land with enough force to give his partner a sense of how serious those threats were.

Got more I could say but I gotta run for a moment.
