I've looked at most what is seen in Yiquan as foundation practice, to build a strong foundation.
If you already have a strong foundation in TCMA, it means that you have already have had your share of standing practice. It makes no sense that you should let people go through foundations practice a second time if they already have built one.

if i remember right you say you have done quite a lot of XYQ training, then you should know that standing practice is not just standing there. All XYQ practice is very much about moving....but you know that already?

According to them Wang wrote those texts in 1959 in Tianjin.
