What did you like Marvin? Your point to show these vids was what?

The point: Someone may enjoy it or get something out of it. I am not trying to put my viewpoint on it.

Personally, he seems passionate and sincere in trying to teach and explain things. I like how he shows peng lu ji an can be done in small movements or at the same time. Other demos show large movements with the standard definitions. I can't speak for his skills.

If someone critiques the video and a deeper knowledge comes out of it, all the better. However, it's not the main reason for posting.

I don't think that it's meaningful to say much about the vids without having this person here to discuss it. He is enthusiastic and that might inspire people which of course is a very a good thing. I am not sure that what he says always match what he shows. I'll just leave it there.

I usually take the video concepts and try to match them with concepts and movements used by elite fighters in combat sports (e.g., boxing, mma, judo, etc.). Therefore, what he "shows" is not as important to me. It doesn't need to be an exact match to be useful to me.

I understand we may not agree on that; such as the Peter Ralson/Floyd Mayweather Rollback videos we discussed. :)

From a self-defense /martial point of view this long ponytail is a bad idea ;) . He can do whatever taiji to me, but with that ponytail in hand I have all the control i want :)

Here's his clip on fajin.

His rear-end and mingmen indicate that he doesn't really know what the heck he is doing.
(I was more impressed with the little light saber dance that he does in the second half of the clip.)

Yes. Lack of foundation, no base. Common for people who practice and teach several different arts.
