This was an individual who was attempting to use a democratic process to establish a pan-Arab theocracy.

Stuff went bad and this was the result.
I rememeber the history of the Assassins (usually drug crazed and manipuated by "handlers) 'when Arabs rules but as various groups supplanted Arab hegemony, various non Arab groups began exploits associated with the work of 'Assassins'.

Didn't they smoke a lot of weed or was it hashish.

It was ""Sharkey`s mountains society" . They grew >hit men for the rent< and made big bucks during middle-ages in Morocco if I remember correctly.
Right now it is wasting of the time.
They use lot of amphetamine like drugs there. Peps on such diet are pretty easy to drive ...

The Saudis have a few rich guys. FYI, they are actually considered a middle income country. Their wealth is just concentrated in a tiny number of hands.
Trump did business with them. So what?
Khashoggi was a non-US citizen who died at the hands of his own sketchy government in Turkey.
Considering he was a complete scumbag, why should anyone care that he died?
He had no relationship to the US and provided nothing of consequence to the US.
Why should the US president care?
The Saudis do sketchy stuff all the time. When any number of middle eastern states kill some random jihadi, or their supports like Khashoggi, no one cares. So, their killing people isn't exactly uncommon. This didn't happen in the US, or on US property, and did not involve a US citizen.
Your personal deraingement with regard to Trump seems to make you want to blame him in some manner for what happened. Why? I get you don't like the man. But really, this is a strech. The US has absolutely no skin in this game. Why would the US comment on it at all?
