Very sure.

I know Rasmus well in addition to a few of Mizner's former personal training partners.

Mizner being less than forthcoming about his background is not the least of his problems.

While Mizner trained with a number of people both before and after being kicked out of Rasmus' school, the basis of his abilities is Hermetics.

Rasmus kept a very low profile until relocating to Asia from Australia about fifteen years ago.

Al2016,

The nature of Mizner's personal problems is rather old news and does not impact his skill as a practitioner. Frankly, I'm not inclined to discuss it with a stranger as it just turns in to a great big round of he said/she said.

That being said, if you want what Mizner has, there are better people to train with than Mizner. The best I can recommend currently is Rasmus.

wayne hansen wrote:As I said before I thought the training came from Kelley
Mizner was a student of Roger Cotgrieve who was a student of Kelley
Kelley mentioned this training in his book on Huang that I was given in about 1986
I live on the Gold Coast where Mizner started his school and never heard of Razmus until Mizner was well established
How sure are you of your facts

He had an article in Blitz magazine mentioning both Roger and Mark:

Or as the above is a scanned picture from Blitz magazine, the copy and pasted below from one of his senior students might be preferable for reading:

From https://wealth.i-am-hwr.com/:
Sifu Mark Rasmus wrote:About Sifu Mark Rasmus

In the 70s, Mark began his journey in Japanese martial arts. Within a few years, the family moved to a new country and his opportunity to taste many different styles arose.

After spending years exploring a range of arts including Tae Kwon Do, Silat, Kali, Escrima, Karate, Tai Chi and a range of Kung Fu systems, he finally settled into Wing Chun Kung Fu. In 1986, his instructor, John Dugan encouraged him to enter into the teaching profession.

While still a teenager, he opened his first Wing Chun school in Brisbane Australia. Mark then cross trained between Muay Thai and Wing Chun for the next decade. In 1988 he was introduced to William Cook Edwards, a metaphysics teacher who taught Franz Bardons system.

Within a short number of years studying with William, Mark was working as a psychic and healer. Before long the Hermetic and Martial sciences began to meld together.

In 1995, Mark began training in Tai Chi (Huang Shyan Sheng lineage) with Chris Heness, a Tong Long and Tai Chi master living in Queensland, Australia. This opened a huge range of understanding in internal martial arts principles further enhancing his teaching system.

It’s for drawing an opponents attention to that hand then the other strike 8-) ....Probably a jade stone which as you may know is a thing in east Asia. There is a belief that certain gemstones corresponds to different organs in the body, and there is the idea of birthstones where gemstones have their special place in the zodiac. I don’t know where Jade fits into these theories. It could be an emerald and that correspond to the sign of cancer...It could just be he wear it because he feels it’s beautiful.

Small correction , emerald correspond to cancer in the tropical zodiac, otherwise it belong to Taurus. Gemstones related to Buddhism ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navaratna
