Amazing man who met and trained with some titans of the MA scene like Mas Oyama as well as Olympic level judoka, and a big influence on the formation of the Dutch style of kickboxing through his student Jan Plas. RIP :-\

My TJQ/XYQ teacher in Sweden was during the 60’s and most part of the 70’s a student and affiliate of Jon Bluming. Although my teacher “left” Karate for the CIMA’s he kept good contact and friendship with Bluming. My teacher passed away three years ago and now his teacher has passed. I never met Mr.Bluming but still feel saddened …RIP

Although Jon Bluming was a Judoka/Karateka and not particularly into CMA’s at all, he anyway played a role that led some of his Karate students to take up Taikiken and then further exploring YiQuan and other CIMA’s
