Postby CarstenM on Wed Feb 06, 2019 5:54 am

I would like to get a nice calligraphy with the word "Song/ Sung" in chinese and I really wanna make sure I get the right one ;)

So can anyone here that can read Chinese validate that this is the right one:

That one actually means "Tasty Cheddar Biscuits"
The form is the notes, the quan is the music

While living in Beijing in 2005, I met not one, but two foreigners who had character tattoos they thought said "white dragon." They actually said "white foreigner."

They weren't the brightest individuals....

鬆 - is what you want
松 - the bottom radical of above. Pine tree, also the simplified Chinese for above.

Your original rendition can be misleading as it connects the bottom stroke of the upper radical with the top right stroke of 松. They are not connected.

I never paid attention to the character for song before, but after you posted it, I looked it up.

The dictionary definitions didn't do anything for me, but then I saw that the simplified character was "pine tree." Boom! Now THAT made sense.

The qualities of a pine tree: stands straight and tall, strong but flexible, the branches yield but return to their original position and a strong root structure.

Exactly! I found that disturbing as well!
