I've seen him in person a couple of times about 12,13 years ago when he was actively competing in Kuoshu tournaments in Taiwan. His unorthodox Monkey style, IMO, contains elements of traditional Southeast Asian fighting arts and is more akin to Indo-Malay Silat as opposed to CMA.
