I think you guys are talking about 一觸即發, demonstrated here by Master Yip.

When two structures meet, the weaker one will be bounced off the stronger one.

I am personally with Master Wang, this kind of structural force display seems to work much better in a demo situation rather than a fighting one.

The "structural force display" is about body conditioning. Fighting is about fighting.

good videos, thanks a lot. when they do those exercises, what kind of points do they emphasize?

which interestingly references some taijiquan references and says similar points (sink energy etc)
amateur practices til gets right pro til can't get wrong
/ better approx answer to right q than exact answer to wrong q which can be made precise /

The first set is about directional movement (up and down, back and forth, etc) and can be practiced with a partner holding the wrists. When he puts his hands behind his back at the end the partner would push against his sternum with the energy that is expressed pushing him back and down.

The second set is about feeling the energy while moving and holding on to one's zhuangtai. This is the most taiji-like part of Han Shi YI Quan's repertoire with the five fists being more xingyi-like.

Very cool, you can see those influences or similarities, I think.
