What kind of work do you like?

What kind of work do you like?

I really liked doing product testing and reviews when I worked in the tobacco industry. Mostly I like research as I'm hyperlexic.

Oh I never heard of hyperlexia, but that's pretty cool (assuming you can find ways to take advantage of it)

I like writing best, particularly pieces where I can offer solid facts together with reasoned opinions. Unfortunately, I've never lined up a steady gig that pays much. Would like to.

Second place, I've written lots of C code, SQL, data dictionary definitions, data schemas, stepwise functional designs, that sort of thing. It's satisfying on some level but leaves my brain tired come quitting time.

Third place, teaching and mentoring roles; the payoff there is the learner's "aha" moment when I can watch a light bulb go on in a new region inside his or her head.

I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.
