Too bad they say it was racist. But, I think he said "Go back to where you came from," and white nationalist racists have always said that to non-white people. Anyway, two of the three women were born in the US, and one --like his wife-- is a naturalized citizen. "Going back" for them would be the US, just like him.
However, airing grievances against the government is particularly American. It's part of our Bill of Rights. I don't think it was racist because, before the election, the prez was freely criticizing the then prez, the government, and after the election has criticized the justice department, supreme court, Republican congresspeople. When he tells Arnold Schwarzenegger or Nancy Pelosi to go back where they came from, we'll know fer sure.
Well, this guy thinks that patriotism means being loyal to him and agreeing his policies. It's hard not to notice that he wasn't that way with any previous president. And, why is there no clamor to protect their "freedom of speech," etc? "America, love it or leave it" was said during the 60s and 70s. It sounds fine, except that I've heard lots of criticisms about the government on this board. I was going to say that nobody has left, but that might not be true.
The crowd at his NC rally were chanting "Send them back!" I don't think all of them were bigots, but I think if political opponents and critics of the government can be expelled, America clearly won't be great or even greater. Please don't ask me to explain why. Meh, yeah, the squad are some nasty mujeres. For the life of me, though, I can never figure out how people seem to be so against anti-semitism, but have no problem with nazis.
Anyway, sorry to derail the joke. To make up, here's a later tweet of his on the women.
https://proxy.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http ... 78.jpg&f=1He means Queens and other places in the US. Maybe the voters there would take some exception. Some might even think the US was great. But, I don't have any appropriate jokes.
