Okay. Don't blame Trump for any specific case. Seriously. What is to blame?
The Washington Post used ADL data to come up with this figure of 226% increase. So it's not 300% and it's not convictions for hate crimes.
San Jose saw a 300 percent increase in hate crimes between 2014 and 2017, up to 44 hate crimes last year from 11 in 2014.

Heavy.com reported: “Connor Betts, the Dayton, Ohio mass shooter, was a self-described ‘leftist,’ who wrote that he would happily vote for Democrat Elizabeth Warren, praised Satan, was upset about the 2016 presidential election results, and added, ‘I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding.’”
The suspect said that the Antifa terrorist who attacked an ICE facility in Tacoma, Washington, was a "martyr"

If we want to play the what about game, turn about is fair play. Mike is right, arming oneself is a good idea. Watch out for those manifesto guys whenever you're in a public place. Put up their pictures so we know who they are. We do it with normal criminals. I don't see why we don't with scumbags like these.
The people who start shit have no right to say it doesn't matter or complain if the other guy returns the favor.
³⁸You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." ³⁹But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

On July 7, 2016, Micah Xavier Johnson ambushed and fired upon a group of police officers in Dallas, Texas, killing five officers and injuring nine others. Two civilians were also wounded. Johnson was an Army Reserve Afghan War veteran who was angry over police shootings of black men and stated that he wanted to kill white people, especially white police officers. The shooting happened at the end of a protest against the police killings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, which had occurred in the preceding days.
A rifle-armed assault weaponed-armed 69-year-old has been fatally shot by the police after throwing incendiary devices at an immigration centre in Tacoma, Washington
He was described locally as a committed anarchist and antifascist. One friend of twenty years, Deb Bartley, told The Seattle Times she and others had received letters from him which read “just saying goodbye” along with what she described as a manifesto.
During the investigation, the police found a note in Cho's room in which he criticized "rich kids", "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans".[5] In the note, Cho continued by saying that "you caused me to do this."[5] Early media reports also speculated that he was obsessed with fellow student Emily Hilscher and became enraged after she rejected his romantic overtures.[91][92][93][94] Law enforcement investigators could not find evidence that Hilscher knew Cho.[95] Cho and one of his victims, Ross Alameddine, attended the same English class during autumn 2006.[96] Also in one video, he mentions "martyrs like Eric and Dylan", referring to Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the perpetrators of the Columbine High School massacre.[97]

Oh well, the reason nothing will be done is because many people agree or identify with the ideas and ideology, but just say they disagree with the method. They say the same for Trump. I.e., they pardon him because his heart is in the right place.
