Of course, precisely as I planned, now that I've put the situation and my stress out there, it (perhaps) resolves itself. Got an email from the shipping company late last night saying it would arrive tomorrow.

Now I don't know if tomorrow means today or Saturday but we'll figure that out when we come to it.

I think it's only six in the morning right now in Perpignan. Was it supposed to be sent from there? It's not really a big city, with maybe 250K people at its busiest. It's also August in France. I.e., everybody is usually "en vacances." However, lots of people go south to the beach. At any rate, I doubt anyone's rushing to make sure an American gets his stuff on time. Definitely maybe.
