A sincere hope

Rum, beer, movies, nice websites, gaming, etc., without interrupting the flow of martial threads.

Just like I'd suggest someone understand the difference between a punch and a kick when discussing martial arts, if you don't know the difference between climate and weather, you've no business discussing anthropogenic climate change theory

If one has done even cursory reading of the literature, one would have to be trying really hard not to understand...

We even have pictures for you people.

Again, you are just distracting from the issue being discussed here. What can I say? You don't seem to have the abilities to properly source and interpret information, leading you to simply find and misuse data to support the conclusion that you want to defend. I'm sure it's too late to fix that problem. It's okay, I doubt you will ever be in a policymaking or influencing position, which is a good thing for all of us.

The issue being discussed here? Is it just a single issue?

What "conclusion" do you assume it is that I'm defending? You have no clue what I may, or may not believe...just your assumptions, speculations and projections.

Theory Overview
The overall theory contends that Increased tectonic activity, either locally or globally, equates to more heat and chemically charged heated fluid release from active geological features into oceans, sub-glacial polar areas, and atmosphere. This altered heat and fluid input has in past, and still to this day acts to significantly effect Earth’s climate and climate related events.

To describe this new theory, the term Plate Climatology is designated. The theory was first formally introduced on October 7, 2014, after 10 years of research (see link below) and published at the 2016 American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting (see link below).

This effect has been largely hidden from scientific investigation because the heat and fluid release is primarily from two under explored/under monitored regions. First, earth’s Deep Oceans which contain major geological features such as Divergent Plate Boundaries (tectonic plate pull-apart boundaries), Transform Plate Boundaries (tectonic plate side sliding boundaries), Convergent Plate Boundaries (Subduction and Obduction Zones), and High Heat Flow Volcanic regions. The associated heat and fluid release from these geological features acts to alter ocean temperatures, densities, and chemical compositions. The “Altered Oceans” then influence or drive climate changes and climate related events.

Secondly, earth’s Polar Ice Caps which contain major geological features such as: Divergent (tectonic plate pull-apart boundaries), Transform Plate Boundaries (tectonic plate side sliding boundaries), and High Heat Flow Volcanic regions. The associated heat and fluid release from these geological features acts to alter sub-ice sheet temperatures. The altered Sub-Glacial Ice Sheets then influence or drive climate changes and climate related events.

A video that summarizes the building block principles of the Plate Climatology Theory and provides specific research proven examples supporting these principles. The viewer will learn how geological forces affect or control climate and climate related events of; Antarctica, the Arctic, El Nino's / La Nina's, so-called Ice Ages, or land volcanic eruptions.
By reviewing the entire one- and one-half hour video the reader will gain a full appreciation for the significant and underappreciated influence of geological forces on climate. If you have ever wondered whether there is a plausible alternative explanation to the many modern and ancient climate phenomenon currently being attributed solely to atmospheric forces, as per the Global Warming/Climate Change Theory, this is your chance to review such a plausible alternative explanation.

Gee whiz, you keep trying to say you aren't a climate denier, but then keep posting either bad science, or unrelated information in an attempt to discredit the experts. Which is it, dude?

You have quicky shifted from mental jujitsu to mental ambojitsu. ::)

Where do you find this stuff? ??? Yes, you can find whatever you want to find on the internet. Although, you conservatives seem to suddenly become surprisingly creative and resourceful when it comes to defending your pre-held conceptions. Sort of like religious people?

Um, the only people who are unsarcastically sharing this are weirdo climate denialists. Yes, the US leads the world in this category (like not having maternity leave or health care), but it quite precisely the sorts of "independent" thinkers that we see on this thread. Of course, the occasional Canadian will try and jump on the bandwagon to be just a regressive.

For those of you with Netflix access, an award-winning film called Chasing Coral. Very sobering.

From the article (which you seem not to have read?)

Climate change is an issue I care passionately about and have dedicated a significant portion of my life to addressing. I have been politically active on the issue for over 20 years and have researched and written about it for 17 years. Over the last four years, my organization, Environmental Progress, has worked with some of the world’s leading climate scientists to prevent carbon emissions from rising. So far, we’ve helped prevent emissions increasing the equivalent of adding 24 million cars to the road.

Does this mean we shouldn’t worry about climate change? Not at all.

One of the reasons I work on climate change is because I worry about the impact it could have on endangered species. Climate change may threaten one million species globally and half of all mammals, reptiles, and amphibians in diverse places like the Albertine Rift in central Africa, home to the endangered mountain gorilla.

Look, its possible to use selective quotes too...just like climate hysterics....

"First, no credible scientific body has ever said climate change threatens the collapse of civilization much less the extinction of the human species. “‘Our children are going to die in the next 10 to 20 years.’ What’s the scientific basis for these claims?” BBC’s Andrew Neil asked a visibly uncomfortable XR spokesperson last month....What about claims of crop failure, famine, and mass death? That’s science fiction, not science. Humans today produce enough food for 10 billion people, or 25% more than we need, and scientific bodies predict increases in that share, not declines...But it’s not the case that “we’re putting our own survival in danger” through extinctions, as Elizabeth Kolbert claimed in her book, Sixth Extinction. As tragic as animal extinctions are, they do not threaten human civilization. If we want to save endangered species, we need to do so because we care about wildlife for spiritual, ethical, or aesthetic reasons, not survival ones."
