Ma Chuanxu 马传旭 has passed away

Postby wushutiger on Sun Mar 01, 2020 2:18 am

My Liang Bagua Zhang uncle, and the families most senior practitioner Ma Chuanxu 马传旭 passed away at 6 pm on the 27th of February at home in Beijing. He was 87. A sad loss to us all.

I restored and subtitled etc this video which features him and I didn't get a chance to show him due to the corona virus lock down here, and now he is gone. Too soon.

Very sad to hear Lao Ma passed away, he was a baguazhang legend, a very skilled master and a kind person. I was lucky enough to practice with Ma Chuanxu back in 2007-2008 in Beijing.RIP Ma laoshi.

I heard as well - very sad that I was ultimately not able to meet him, despite some chances that for one reason or another did not materialize in the end. Jarek's interview with Ma was a key factor in leading me to my teacher. He definitely had something special!
