The so called bio warfare lab is kind of an joint venture with France......(who told you it is a bio warfare lab ?)

Many things can be dual use.
However these labs are built to study viruses,
china has had problems with viruses escaping from labs in the past due to accidents or sloppy practices .
It seems a couple years back they were concerns about this particular lab.

If you look at the chain of events one could assume that they actually knew or had high suspicions of what happened.

In many information Sources note that the city was locked down but not air travel out of the city to other countries
Kinda strange. I wouldn’t place any nefarious reasoning to it, maybe trying to hide it, not understanding the implications in doing so.

Can check on this, from your perspective?

What happened in China is not unique to China, nor is how they responded to it.
The US and other countries working on the edge of science with highly dangerous studies all of had their own accidents.
The only difference is that in most cases they were able to contain them within their own borders for the most part.

yes there have been some serous virus outbreaks originated from labs, in england for example, at least two times which cased heavy blow for the coutys livestock population, of course that was "just" cows and sheeps, but i remember there were serious worries it would spread to other european countries....sloppy labs-
certainty that the virus originated from Merial.

Biosecurity lapses
The official reports identifies lapses in biosecurity at the Pirbright site, and demands they be rectified. “There was a poor drainage system, which was poorly maintained, rarely inspected, and not fully contained,” says Spratt.

“There was poor communication about risk between the two facilities, and funding difficulties at IAH hindered repairs to the effluent system,” he adds.

The HSE report criticises the lack of oversight of contractors visiting the site. “We did find deficiencies in record-keeping, and difficulties accessing records of lorries that had access to the crucial part of the site,” says Podger.

Spratt also identifies a possible conflict of interest on the part of the government, which funds research at IAH, and is meant to regulate its activities.

Many countries have had accidents in the nuclear field also.
Obviously understanding the source of this outbreak will help to understand how to mitigate or prevent it in the future or if it’s a naturally occurring event. If it’s natural there are studies that suggest these events are happening at a faster rate.
One of the reasons why China is studying the viruses carried by bats.

Don’t quite understand why the US is not or did not use the other testing methodologies used by Korea and Taiwan for example. They keep talking about accuracy of the test used in other countries versus those developed in the US.
Haven’t seen a lot of comparisons being done between them. It has been documented according to some information services those test manufactured in China are not very accurate.

The recent resurgence in Korea, there is a suggestion that either the testing is not as accurate or the procedures for doing the test are not standardize as they should be.

In China, the wet market is a good place to buy cheap fresh veggies while bargaining with ayis. I wouldn't touch the meat sold in them with a 10 foot pole though.

IME you can find multiple wet markets in S. London in Peckham and Brixton, they are slightly mixed in with the other shops but they are totally there.

Do you eat meat in the restaurants, eat meat dumplings ? At least at the “wet” markets you can see and smell if the meat is fresh. For those who worry it might feel safer to buy the fresh meat at the supermarkets
