Direkt related to martial arts, can a big bushy beard act as chin protective against a punch? But for sure such a big beard could be grabbed and so to ones disadvantage in close combat situations?

LIke to go fast when needed! otherwise take your time to explode when necessary i.e. issue force It may depend on the social milieu. Beards are popular now but that wasn't always so. I heard that men grew beards after 50 because they no longer cared what their wives thought of their appearance. And a lot of men hate to shave.

Come on, 12!? Just trim it, or keep a stubble and you’ll look 21, that’s still young.....(maybe the writer of that list switched the numbers. It should be - look as21, and be in point 12)
