Xi Jin Ping challenge

3 Taiwanese strongmen attempted the Xi Jin Ping challenge to see if they could walk 5 KM carrying 100 KG over their shoulder w/o changing shoulders.

If they had a better carrying device it wouldn't be that big a deal. A good rucksack would make all the difference. Uncomfortable for sure but doable.

So why is it called the "Xi Jin Ping" challenge?

Because Xi on Chinese TV interview made the claim he used to walk 5KM carrying 100KG on one shoulder using that carrying stick, w/o having to alternate shoulders.
It's definitely not the same as using a rucksack.

Okay that makes sense.

And carrying anything a meaningful distance with that device would be torture. I’m surprised they made it as far as they did.

These guys have done a bunch of fun challenges like competing against professional concrete workers and natural gas can deliverers. They're usually able to come close to people that do it for a living. Pretty impressive.

Yeah, choosing coffee as sponsor was a mistake for sure.
