keep proper body shape; the head is extended upwards, the chest slightly sinking inwards, and the hips folded, with the shoulders sinking down, and elbows pulling shoulders and upper back in to a slightly rounded position. Even in transition movement the lower back needs to sink downwards as if preparing to sit in a chair and the upper body needs to lean slightly forward with head erect, pulling the spine into alignment.
In transitions, do not change the internal feeling with the chi sinking down. This is called stillness in movement. Yang Family
Taiji is literally passed from hand to hand
If your teacher has not got it—they can’t hand it to you
If you don't have it—you can't guess what it is you’re supposed to DO
(Edit: if you're an adult or almost an adult
and you're on a website to find out about fighting basics
Strong clue you're probably not a fighter
Most fighters have been fighting & winning fights since childhood)
doesn't mean you can't learn about fighting or spar or whatever

Oh now be fair, lol!
If you understand the jargon then it's pretty self explanatory, but without knowing the details of the methods behind the single words it's no more practically useful than me telling you the TCP Handshake is SYN, SYN/ACK, ACK.
