my kids (and I'll over generalize to USA Gen Z) seem to do some dumb stuff (like lots of tik tok haha) and don't seem to read (youtube is the long form), don't seem to have good critical thinking, but in many ways they are way "smarter" / more "advanced" (if life were just a board game) than I was. they accomplished more "corporate" stuff at an early age. happier? hmm, no idea.
as a cynical, apathetic Gen X guy, I kinda look to Gen Z to "save the world" so hoping they are a lot smarter. we seem to need it.
